list love.

my winter 2011 checklist, part one.

inspired hoisery.

animal print.

satchels.

oversized, black sunglasses.

black suede over the knee stilettos.

indigenous wonder.

samantha harris. the epitome of beautiful, and taking control of your life.

green eyes.

the kardashian sisters have been doing my head in. i am in love with them to an extent which is beyond the point of stalkerish, along with their sense of style, than i should be. but i've never been as in love as i am now. kourtney & kim take new york has begun, and not only is it filmed in my favourite place in the world, but it is filmed during winter, and let me tell you now, their style is beyond phenomenal. fur coats, knee high boots, fantastic leggings, animal print, birkin bags - they are my style envy this winter. yum.

as i said, beyond phenomenal.

ohsos.

recently, i was introduced to a website. i love this website so much, that since i found out about it, i have not spent a day on my computer without checking it out and seeing what was new. it's like fashion heaven. and it's cheap. and it's on trend. and it's got everything you could ever dream of. and it's cheap.

yes i said cheap twice. because it's necessary.

please go visit asos.

i'm buying my whole winter wardrobe from asos and their wondrous fashion finds.

and it stocks boys clothes too, so it's not discriminatory :)

shopaholic syndrome.

i have a confession to make. it's taken a long time to admit this, and not only to admit, but to accept that i actually like this side of me.

i am a fashion addict.

ugh i feel like a reaking fashionista trend follower just typing it, and it's cliched and makes me sound completely and utterly ditzy, but i love everything about clothing. that feeling when you're browsing through a shop, or online, and you set your eyes on that piece you've been dreaming about. you were never really sure what it was until now, and now that you've laid eyes on it, nothing will get in your way. and then there's the added bonus on the odd occasion, where it is on sale. and you just know you need to have it because you've already listed 5 things in your wardrobe which it would make look ten times BETTER.

no one can deny that when you have a fantastic outfit on, which makes you feel great, that you give off a self confidence like no other. it's why i'm happy that i love clothing and i don't feel guilty about buying myself new things.

i also have to admit, that everything is better when you learn about what you like, and match it with your body type. don't be afraid to ask your loved ones what they really think. i've come to understand that the two people i can trust wholeheartedly in my fashion decisions are my mum & boyfriend. they'll give it to me straight and i love that about them.

so the next time you're in the shops and having a dilemma about whether you should make a little splurge and buy something nice for yourself, do it. and don't feel guilty, you're just treating yourself for being you. xx

from boot to heel.

i've always loved the shoes from peep toe. they're glamorous and gorgeous and they have a shoe for every occasion. the prices may stop some girls from going all out, but i honestly think that the joy behind peep toe - and their prices - is that they create a shoe which will last the distance (haha walking, distance.. you get it). i find myself buying peep toe for three reasons.

1. when i want a staple shoe for my wardrobe. the black stiletto, both open and closed toe. the shoe which you know you're going to wear with everything and anything, that you want to be comfortable and yet glamorous and get you from a to b looking fashionable and with the utmost efficiency.

2. for an on-trend pair of shoes which will last me through a few seasons. for me, this means things such as a tan pair of strappy heels, or a black suede bootie for winter. they are things which i can dress up or down and wear day or night and feel comfortable and content with my outfit and they way i look.

3. sales. PEEP TOE HAVE AMAZING SALES. seriously, when they put a shoe on sale, it's half price most of the time! it's heaven and it's worth waiting for if you haven't got the budget for a full price pair of peep toes.

and don't neglect their accessories. they have some incredible statement jewellery and bags which will blow your mind.

on-trend-girl.

sportsgirl have been doing wondrous things to me as of recent times. i have to admit, they really do winter trends well, and i find i get most of my winter wardrobe from sportsgirl. i just had a peek at their most recent look-book, and they have all the upcoming trends covered perfectly, and best of all; within a half decent budget. they're also really great with getting back to you when you enquire about a piece of clothing, such as when it will be in, or how much it will cost. they really seem to have all bases covered and i'll be spending my income there over the next few months for sure. some of what i am lovvvving...

knee high boots & leopard print cape.

leather jacket & floral leggings.

chunky hoodie & sheepskin boots.

knitted cape & leather pants.

fur vest & cut-out stockings.

i'm seriously impressed.
