on a rollercoaster.

i can't get over the way that my life is flying right now. i'm about to finish my diploma, i've got a potential internship at fuzzy (hello dream job) and the latest news? i've got an interview on tuesday with sportsgirl for a part time position. seriously, i love moments like this. doors keep opening for me and i feel like after so much pursuing and persevering, life's actually starting to give me the rewards for all that work. 

it's just proof that when you really want something, and you really put the work in, 

the reward will be waiting for you. x

ps. i went into the fuzzy office this morning to drop off the guidebook they assigned us. i also baked them cookies.

favourite saving.

one of my favourite things of recent times, are fashion websites that give you the option to save your favourite pieces. asos & topshop both save your shopping bag, and general pants have recently given me the option to create a 'most wanted' list once you create an account with them. easy peasy, and i'm absolutely loving it. (i'm dying for sportsgirl to do this - their favourites option is great but your list disappears when you close the page). 

general pants co really do some great stuff, all year round. they definitely do perfect festival gear - i don't think there's a store that does it better - but they also have some awesome clothing, shoes & accessories for everything you could think of. 

but most of all, i've found that they really epitomise my style. overall, it's casual and chilled, but the basics are surrounded by pieces which you can throw on to give it this edgy vibe and make it a bit more stylish. it's how i love to dress. i have never been able to bring myself to dress in loud colours. essentially, it comes down to the fact that i do love my basics, and there's nothing i like more than adding something a bit edgy & different to a basic shirt or skirt. my personal flair. so thought i'd share some of the beautiful clothing in my most wanted at gp right now.

i'm still obsessing over lover's latest collection. it's so versatile that it makes me want to cry. there's literally something for every event. it's chic enough for work, yet pretty enough for a night out, and nestled amongst all of this are some beautiful statement dresses and jumpsuits. i need those beautifully cut shorts, the dresses immersed in intricate lace and cropped, sexy but casual trousers.

second-hand loving.

i always go through phases with ebay. it seems like sometimes, there is nothing i want, and a few weeks later it's full to the brim of amazing clothing and shoes, for half the price they normally are. generally when it comes to ebay, i use it to buy designer clothes. i'm not one of those people who can type in something generic, like backless dress, and trawl through thousands of options. i like specifying it to a brand i like... i think it's because i know what to expect, but in the back of my mind i could never afford it. so essentially, ebay is my saviour. the designer brands i lust over, at prices i can actually stand looking at.

i made a little side purchase. YES I KNOW. so bad of me. but it was for my internship interview and i know that it's a piece i'm going to use in a variety of ways because it'll be so versatile. and it was on sale. so forgive me! it's this lovely khaki button up shirt, in this absurdly soft & silky material which is smooth enough it should be sheer but it's not. very good layering top!

and this is the felt hat i bought! it's a lovely big oversized black one from sportsgirl which i posted below when i wore to the races, but let's be honest that photo was awful and so thought i'd get a better image up there.

so wish me luck with the rest of my wishlist. there's so much i want and so little funds. and i'm far too much of a perfectionist to settle for anything on my wishlist that is less than perfect. so the search continues.....

future prospects.

pre-warning - i'm about to go on a text filled rant again. i PROMISE picture posts as soon as uni is over!

on saturday, after the crappest friday of my life (i was sick as a dog, dontcha hate it) i received the most incredible pick me up i could ever dream of. awaiting my hungry eyes, in my inbox, was an email from the HR manager of fuzzy. if you aren't from australia, you might not know who they are, but if you're an aussie i'm sure you will. they create some of the biggest (and in my opinion, the best) music festivals here. my first ever fest was field day; an amazing festival on new years day and the perfect way to bring in the new year and i have such fond memory of each field day i've been to. i haven't missed one since 2009 and i don't plan too for as long as socially plausible. but back to the point, they do some awesome festivals and a few weeks ago i applied for an internship with them, and was offered an interview! it's on wednesday and ever since i got the email, i've been doing my background research and obviously more importantly, figuring out what on earth i should wear. the email stated 'dress to impress - but no suits.' so after much deliberation and interrogating my friends fashion advice, i decided to go smart casual. black chunky ankle boots, stockings, a white a-line skirt and a khaki slouchy button-up shirt. it's a group interview so i'm trying to figure out some new, fresh, innovative ideas i could contribute to show my individuality and eagerness to please/learn. wish me luck!
