wedding bells

lifestyled by paula joye

I realise this is my second wedding related post this week (and nope, still not trying to tell you I'm getting married) but I couldn't NOT post this. I should preface this by saying I have a really weird girl-crush on Justine Cullen, editor of Shop Till You Drop. I just think she's amazing and gorgeous and talented and dedicated and so cool. She also has an awesome tumblr AND she named her two boys Milo & Iggy. Again, so cool it hurts. Moving right along before I sound like an obsessed freak.. i'm subscribed to the most wonderful online mag called lifestyled and received an email documenting Justine's wedding.

JUSTINE HAD MY WEDDING

This is the wedding I've been envisioning for years and after scrolling through photo after photo, I was literally crying out with envy. She wore the perfect drapey dress with loose curls and effortlessly natural make-up, everywhere was overflowing with flowers and there was so much from etsy that I was essentially having a heart attack. I can't even describe so I'm just going to link you here so that you can go look for yourself and see what I mean.

TB SS12/13

style melbourne

loving these shots from a preview event in melbourne of tony bianco's SS12/13 collection! i've already got my heart set on the flats with metallic detailing, the heels which are essentially the big sister version of the flats and i definitely wouldn't mind those white heels with the silver capped toe. clearly, neutrals with a splash of metallic is gonna be tickling my tastebuds this upcoming season. sydney's first day of rain in awhile has made seeing this collection even more unbearable.. bring back the summer sun and strappy heel weather!

insta-me

i finally got carpet in my room after four years of waiting!

shades of pink and dark blue denim.

some of my favourites; sweet peas and roses.

NEW FAVOURITES: topshop studded slippers.

off to brunch wearing sportsgirl, one teaspoon & tony bianco.

work outfit - wearing seafolly & topshop.
photos c/o instagram - @chloekiara

Been instagramming my heart out as per usual. If you aren't already following me, hit me up! @chloekiara - promise that my instagram efforts are much more impressive than my blogging ones. I'm so in love with my studded slippers from Topshop! They are so comfy, I wore them to work today and they made my day so much brighter every time I looked down at the ground. Now i'm just sitting around waiting for them to become available in the peach and black colour ways - they seem to be sold out every time I check! And I finally got carpet in my bedroom. I know this seems silly and trivial but when you've been dealing with weirdo planks of wood that had white paint splotches on them.. this was a huge development in my life.

Daydreams

This dress had me completely gob smacked from the moment I laid eyes on it. Diane Kruger wore this gorgeous creation by Giambattista Valli to the Cannes Film Festival and my oh my, what a gown it is. The mint green, the flowing etherial train, the fitted bodice and detailed shoulder. Phwoar. I want to re-create this gown in white and get married in something just like this. Seriously, I've had my heart set on a grecian inspired wedding gown for a long time (you could not get me into a puffy toilet roll inspired wedding dress under ANY circumstances).
I've had my heart set on this Vera Wang for years...

And no, this isn't some convoluted way of telling you all that i'm getting married. I'm just the kind of girl that likes to be prepared, from my Vera Wang dress right down to my bouquet of peonies.. I clearly have too much time on my hands..

SO EXCITED!

I'M SERIOUSLY OVERRUN WITH EXCITEMENT RIGHT NOW! As some of you may know, I work for Seafolly; a seriously incredible swimwear company who never fail to make work an absolute pleasure - I work with a great team of girls who are all passionate about swimwear and making women look and feel good! Today they announced the face of our summer campaign and gave a little taste test of two designs to come and I am SO EXCITED! Not only are the prints and colours amazing (helloooo peach shimmer), they've picked my favourite model! Behati Prinsloo, the Namibian beauty who has featured in Vogue and multiple Victoria's Secret shows from 2007 - 2011. The newest collection starts dropping in stores from July 1. Come visit!

mothers day

photos by me

i'm completely aware of the fact that i've been awol, unfortunately uni has just gotten the better of me. while it's generally amazing that my communications degree has no exams, the downside is that i'm thrashed with assignments throughout the semester! i think out of 14 weeks i end up having 2 weeks without an assignment due. gross. but it's meant that i've saved LOTS of money - except i just placed a very exciting topshop order - and have been getting some quality time with my family and boyfriend instead of going out and socialising, which has actually made for a very peaceful, relaxing time. on another note.. how gorgeous is my godson? the first photo is my grandmother with the him and myself (her eldest & youngest grandkids) and the second is myself and the little monster. the third photo is my gorgeous mumma on her birthday with her croquembouche cake, it was absolutely incredible and so delicious. and lastly but not least, our mother's day brunch! there's nothing better than carrot cake, sourdough, piles of croissants and freshly squeezed juice. hope everyone is having a great mother's day and all the mummy's are getting spoilt rotten!

MBFW stand out

lifestyled.com.au

unfortunately i haven't been able to make it to any of the MBFW shows this year but for now i've been keeping up with all the fashion and goss through facebook, everyone's blogs and instagram (so addicted! @chloekiara). i've been loving the daily newsletter from paula joye's lifestyled - she has some incredible features, with plenty of interviews, photos of the collections and street style photos. while you're there, check out the 'what the editors wore' album - serious fashion envy in those pics. but what i did love was these photos from the bec & bridge show.. i think it's clear i've become a little obsessed with the brand but this has only made the obsession far worse. the printed pants, that INCREDIBLE blue print on the skirt, accompanied by a kick ass peplum top.. and plenty of white, my favourite summer colour. they've honestly encapsulated summer in a collection - well done ladies, well done.
