hot legs.

google images

in summer, i'm going to be a brunette candice swanepoel. all tanned and leggy with peachy bronze make up and wearing strappy heels with sheer white button ups and metallic jacquard short shorts. seriously, i bought them from topshop the other day, so seeing this made me incredibly excited. i know i'm supposed to be focusing on winter right now.. but my eczema is flaring up thanks to all the heating drying out my skin and rain is just incredibly annoying. don't get me wrong, winter has it's pretty days, like the one today if you're in sydney.. it's crisp but the sun's out and it's beautiful blue skies with a slight breeze. but when you work for a company that put's it's heart and soul into everything summer and you're getting so pale that there's no differentiation between the colour of your behind and the rest of your skin (don't pretend you don't know what i'm talking about.. winter's officially hit when you're the same colour all over). so for now, i'll sit here contently in my mint coloured knit and chunky gold bracelets, dreaming about lacey short shorts and tans and beach hair and neon nails.

TB SS12/13

style melbourne

loving these shots from a preview event in melbourne of tony bianco's SS12/13 collection! i've already got my heart set on the flats with metallic detailing, the heels which are essentially the big sister version of the flats and i definitely wouldn't mind those white heels with the silver capped toe. clearly, neutrals with a splash of metallic is gonna be tickling my tastebuds this upcoming season. sydney's first day of rain in awhile has made seeing this collection even more unbearable.. bring back the summer sun and strappy heel weather!

Been instagramming my heart out as per usual. If you aren't already following me, hit me up! @chloekiara - promise that my instagram efforts are much more impressive than my blogging ones. I'm so in love with my studded slippers from Topshop! They are so comfy, I wore them to work today and they made my day so much brighter every time I looked down at the ground. Now i'm just sitting around waiting for them to become available in the peach and black colour ways - they seem to be sold out every time I check! And I finally got carpet in my bedroom. I know this seems silly and trivial but when you've been dealing with weirdo planks of wood that had white paint splotches on them.. this was a huge development in my life.

b&b, second drop

second winter drop of bec & bridge has been released and it's far from a disappointment... 'elle est un animale' is filled with leather, metallic, sequins, animal print, knits.. it's a texture lover's best friend. so now the only question is... which dress should i be getting to wear to my best friends 21st party? the little sequin number, the cherry red lace, the leopard print? (while we're on that note.. does anyone know where i could hunt down a beautiful mask for the party? it's a masquerade theme)
but back to this collection, as most of you who read my blog regularly would know, i've been on the hunt - for god knows how long - for some gorgeous black leather pants that weren't ridiculously expensive and i'm pretty sure these b&b ones are PERFECT! FOR $180! I couldn't believe my eyes either.
In stores and online from Monday! Go check em out.

black feet.

I'm a handbag kinda girl. When I walk into a store, I always gravitate towards the handbags - shoulder bags, clutches, wallets, overnighter's... whatever it is, I'll take one of everything. But lately (and maybe it's since I found hamilton, my michael kors bag which is perfection) I've been thinking about just how much of an impact shoes can make on an outfit. I've been scouring Tony Bianco & Wanted Shoes, two of my absolute favourite shoe suppliers, and have found myself coming back to these four favourites.
1. 'Pia' Tony Bianco Knee High Boot - I had the most perfect imitation suede knee high boots last season and wore them to death - they are honestly ruined because I loved them so much. So when I saw these babies in Wanted the other day, I fell in love. They aren't leather and they aren't suede.. they're smack bang in the middle. As the girl I spoke with from Tony Bianco put it, it's like suede without the 'furriness', and personally I love it. Normally I wouldn't go for a shoe with such a hefty price tag, but considering how much I wore my old boots last season, I see these as a solid investment.
2. 'Cad' Boston Babe Metallic Ballet Flat - Aren't these beautiful? Black leather with a metallic gold touch.. I can see these adding instant glam to a drab uni outfit.
3. 'Devons' Tony Bianco Ankle Boot - My alternative to the ACNE pistons.. they just seem to sit right on my legs. Just the right amount of heel, and I like the strap detail around the ankle.
4. 'Karissa' Tony Bianco Heel - If you haven't seen these on the blogosphere you must be living under a rock - they're a favourite of Jess from Tuula, Sara from Harper & Harley and Nicole from Gary Pepper Vintage. I can understand why, with the simple straps and classic shape. Heads up for us poor Sydney-siders who don't have any TB concept stores - these will be making their way into Wanted Shoes in April, so for anyone like me who is between sizes, you'll be able to try them on! Woo!
